Music, poetry and snow at Casafont recording studio’s inauguration party

Last Saturday, November 29th, took place the official inauguration of Casafont recording studio. The celebration began with an open day on the recording studio premises. The opening ceremony was leaded by Ramon Pujol, the resident sound engineer, who gave a speech of special thanks. He then introduced the songwriters of Terrassa Els Collons del Pare Rababa, who performed songs of their last CD El cercle dual, and after them, Meritxell Serrano recited fragments of his poetry book Memorias del paladar. Later, Maria Antònia Pujol’s tenora filled the chill out room with its sound, who was later joined by the pianist Xavier Guitó, and together they improvised a duet. At the back, Ramon Sendra mastered the mixer of the small PA installed for the occasion. Meanwhile, inside the control room, Aina, Oriol’s (voice of Els Collons del Pare Rababa) and Txell’s baby, was sleeping placidly. The party would have dragged on if it were not for the snow also wanting to attend the event. The snow is unusual at Casafont, it probably only snows two or three times a year; maybe we should interpret it as a good omen.

The recording studio Casafont is located in an exceptional natural environment, in the Vall d’Ora, in the Catalan region of Solsonès, 120 km from Barcelona, and opens its doors to the public with the aim to offer a versatile solution to the needs of any musician, music producer, sound engineer, manager and companions. Casafont has a quality infrastructure built from scratch, and designed to provide the best comfort and service. Casafont also offers two rural apartments to cover the accommodation needs of the projects in the recording studio.
